This past Monday, the Montessori Middle School set off to the Sloane-Stanley Museum in Kent. The museum generously opened its doors exclusively to our students. The visit highlighted the important historical role the iron industry played in our region of Connecticut, our country, and the world. They were also able to see the old Kent iron furnace and Eric's Sloane's beautifully crafted hand tools and paintings. Finally, the students spent time at Kent Falls; the optimal backdrop for launching into the water occupations and local geology.
