Visiting Animal Rescue Foundation

June 5th, 2017

Over the last few weeks the Upper Elementary students have been collecting donations for the Animal Rescue Foundation (A.R.F.) in Terryville, CT. After talking with some of the volunteers at the shelter they learned that the biggest expense for the shelter comes, not from feeding the animals, but from the supplies and labor to keep the animal's environments clean and sanitary. They needed not only food and toys for the animals but clean towels and blankets for bedding, and lots and lots of cleaning supplies.

The students collected a small mountain of supplies for the shelter and this Monday they delivered them.
They toured the facility, learned more about its operation, and had a chance to visit with the animals.

This lucky fella was on his way to his forever home. He got the royal sendoff from our Upper Elementary students.
