About Us

Established in 1972 by Litchfield resident Mary Loyer, Litchfield Montessori School offers an exceptional education to children aged 15 months through 12 years. We serve children from twenty surrounding communities.

The faculty and staff of LMS comprise a caring community of individuals dedicated to providing the best possible educational experience to our students. As mentors and role models, we maintain and model exemplary standards of personal and professional behavior. Our community is based upon trust, mutual respect and communication – with our students, with our families and with one another.
