Running Club
Lace up those running Shoes! This fall we will train for the Diane Burr 5k memorial run, held on Nov. 9th at 2:15 in Thomaston. Students will practice for 6 weeks at school and train on their own during the week and weekend. Most of our running will be on the roads near school with an occasional trail run.

Abundant Circle - The Joy of Clay!
Children require opportunities where they can bring an idea to life while applying patience and skill. The ancient art of pottery allows children to fully engage in the creative process. Through the molding and kneading of clay, many of the senses of the child are awakened and applied. In the Joy of Clay Class, children learn through playful, fun, and creative projects to work with clay as well as to develop the skill to create both functional and beautiful pieces of pottery. Once they have formed their pieces, we will fire the clay and glaze our projects. From the moment the children hold the clay their hands, they begin to mold and to form and to bring to life their creation. It truly is holding Mother Earth in your hand!
Friday
Board Game Mania
"Choice. The problem is choice." So many games, so little time. Your favorite board game may be one you haven't played yet! Each week, a different board game will be introduced, taught, and played! Snack provided. What better way to see what else is out there? If a game is already known, students will discover the joy of sharing their experiences and strategies with peers.
A focus on cooperative games where players work together against the game itself will be the theme for this session of games. Themes of teamwork and cooperation will feature heavily, even if the game defeats the group.
