Weekly Update May 15 - 22

May 14th, 2026

The aim of this apparatus is the same: to aid visual discrimination of size or dimensions. The sets of apparatus are coloured differently and attractively, but the differences between them are the salient part. Long Rods – differ in one dimension. Broad Stair – differs in two dimensions. Pink Tower – differs in three dimensions.

Moving-On Ceremony Information:

June 5th: 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM, Thomaston Opera House, Landmark Theatre

This special event celebrates our students as they transition to new stages in their educational journeys. We will honor children moving from Extended Day to Lower Elementary, Third Years advancing to Upper Elementary, and our Sixth-Year children completing their time at LMS.
Although it is not a requirement, all are welcome to attend, even if your child is not moving up this year. Extended Day through Elementary children have been preparing musical entertainment for the event, and they are eager to showcase their talents.
We invite all families to join us for a bring-your-own-picnic lunch back on the LMS Field, weather permitting.  Bring a picnic blanket to relax and enjoy the time together.
If your child is moving on or up and you would like to invite extended family, there will be plenty of room at the Opera House; please be sure to invite them!

NEW - Summer Program Offering!

Elementary Students - Sadie Rotolo, LMS Alumna, will offer this summer program to rising First Years (children entering First Grade in the 2026-2027 school year) through Upper Elementary (Sixth Grade).

The program will focus on letting children creatively explore and interpret Shakespeare's “A Midsummer's Night Dream.” The children will problem solve how to understand Shakespearean language, resulting in a short five-scene performance of the play, where all the kids' work will be displayed through their performance abilities and creative expression.  Registration is now open for LMS families.
