There is still time to contribute to our annual
Week of Giving
Give to the Annual Fund
The participation of every parent in our annual fund campaign is essential. It shows that, as a community, we value and invest in our children's education. It also encourages outside donors and grant organizations to support us, as they see the strong backing by our own community.
Happening this week:
Friday, Nov. 17th:
Let us gather in celebration TODAY November, 17th.
Today we begin our Thanksgiving Break.
If you are unable to participate in our celebration, please ensure your child is picked up at 12:30 PM
All parents are invited to join us for a Parent's Breakfast at Patty's restaurant in Litchfield after drop off.
Relax and enjoy the company of our community while your children prepare a small meal to share at lunch. (RSVP via Remind)
Children's House and Elementary Parents are invited to partake in our annual celebration of the Harvest Feast. (YPC Children do not participate in the celebration)
We ask that you gather with us on the field adjacent to the LMS playground at 11:00 AM.
The children will offer their gifts of gratitude and ask that you join them afterward for a small meal.
It is tradition that families participating in the harvest feast bring in reusable bowls (wooden or pottery), mugs, and cutlery. For parents who choose not to partake in the festivities, please be sure to send Children's House and Elementary Children in to school with a set that morning.

Grace and Courtesy Beyond Please and Thank You
BY DONOHUE SHORTRIDGE
"Parents want children to be polite, kind, and civilized. But what does it take to foster that outcome? Mammals, especially humans, are social learners. We gain knowledge from our environment and from other people, especially from those whom we love. Unfortunately, we learn both antisocial as well as pro-social behaviors by watching others.
So if there is anything you want your child to know how to do, or a way you want him or her to behave, you should first model it, then show him or her how to do it, offer lots of opportunities for practice, and finally, hold the child accountable."
