Gwen Burgess
Gwen Burgess joined the Board of Trustees at LMS in 2017. Gwen lives in Litchfield with her partner of 21 years, Todd, and their son, Casey (14). Gwen is the owner of a local accounting firm and co-owner of a payroll processing service. She is dedicated to her community, and over the last decade, she has served as Treasurer for the Litchfield Education Foundation and the Friends of the Litchfield Community Greenway. Gwen has worked closely with Litchfield Montessori over the past six years, and she now brings her dedication to service and her considerable expertise to our Board of Trustees.
John Ducci
Current parent, John Ducci, joined the board in 2021. His two children, Cody ('27) and Chloe ('29) have attended LMS for the last three years. John is the Chief Operating Office of Ducci Electrical, a family owned electrical construction company that was founded in 1949. John brings a wealth of talent and business acumen to the Board of Trustees. In his spare time, John is an avid outdoorsman.
Christopher Ford, President
Current parent, Chris Ford, became board chair just in time for the 2015-2016 school year. His two children, Hadley ('21) and Christopher ('24), have attended LMS since they were toddlers. An educator, Chris has served as the Director of the Ingenuity Program at the Forman School, where he was also a senior staff member and coached alpine skiing. Before moving to Litchfield in 2004, Chris taught ecology at Gore Range Natural Science School in Red Cliff, Colorado, and before that biology, physics and chemistry at a charter school in Boulder. His wife, Heather, has been the head of the Parents Association at LMS since 2014.
Greg Miller
Greg Miller has served board for 20 years. His son, Tyler, attended LMS from the age of two through sixth grade, and recently graduated from Georgetown University. Greg has served two terms as board chair, with his most recent term ending in 2015. Greg owns a very successful local business with 47 employees and brings his strong management skills and keen focus on the bottom line to the table. He lives in Morris with his wife, Julie.
Charles Conn
Chuck Conn has been on the board for just over a decade, during which time he has served as the board’s chair, treasurer and secretary. His relationship with LMS began when the school’s founder (and fellow Rotarian) Mary Loyer approached him back in 2005. Chuck’s corporate experience in information technology and finance has been a boon to the board, as has his property management experience gleaned from operating an equestrian facility in Morris. A physical neighbor to LMS, Chuck and his partner, Carole St. Mark, have lived in Northfield since 2001.
Shelia Caselas, Treasurer
Sheila Caselas lives in Northfield. Her son, Anthony, attended LMS in the mid-2000s. Sheila is the director of finance and operations at The Montessori School of Greater Hartford, a position she has held for ten years. Her business acumen has been put to good use on the LMS board, where she has served as treasurer since 2011.
Lindsey Rotolo
Lindsey Rotolo joined the board in 2015. Her daughter, Sadie ('20), attended LMS since she was a toddler. Lindsey is a writer and editor and has served on numerous boards and commissions since moving to Litchfield County in 2004. Before moving to Connecticut, Lindsey worked in real estate management as a property manager in Boston and in Norwich, Vermont. She and her husband, Jon, live in Norfolk.
George Seabourne
George Seabourne joined the board in 2018. George is born and raised in Thomaston, CT where he still resides. George is an attorney and parter at Seabourne and Malley, which has provided the local community with legal services for over 25 years. George, a Thomaston Rotarian for 29 years, understands the importance of service to his community.
