Summer Updates!
June 27th, 2025
“The child is a worker and a diligent observer. He looks straight at things; he stares at them for a long time; he is interested in learning all he can about his environment. Perhaps he is staring at a flower, absorbing its image. This work gives him happiness and peace because, in doing so, he is following his natural urges. ”

Welcome Summer!
As our summer program comes to a close, our focus shifts to the exciting year ahead.
- Summer reading lists have been added to the website
- We are pleased to announce we have officially moved from Blackbaud to TADS.
Shortly you will receive an email welcoming you to the 2025-26 school year.
TADS will host Tuition Management as well as annual Registration/Enrollment in August.
- We'll continue using Remind for communication next year, and Weekly Updates will resume with the start of the 2025-2026 school year.
- The updated school calendar is now available as well.
- Mark your calendar for our all-school parent meeting on Wednesday, August 27th, and save the date for our Fall Festival on October 18th, which we hope will include a ribbon-cutting celebration for the new playground!
Classroom Updates for 2025–2026
- Young People’s Community (YPC): Susan Patrick will continue as Lead Guide, joined by Amanda Fortier in the role of Assistant. Amanda brings warmth and a thoughtful presence, and we are excited to welcome her into this new position.
- Children’s House: We will operate as one classroom across both rooms, with Danielle and Kelsey co-guiding and sharing responsibility for the full class. As some of you know, Danielle is expecting a baby this fall! This shared classroom approach will ensure consistency and smooth transitions throughout the year. Melissa D’Aversa will step into the Assistant role, moving up from YPC, providing a familiar and trusted presence for many of the children.
- Lower Elementary: Grail and Monika will continue guiding the classroom with their steady and experienced collaboration, supporting children through the transition from Children's House and into the rich, expansive world of Lower El.
- Upper Elementary: Kate and Gina return as the guiding team, bringing a deep understanding of each student’s growth and a dynamic partnership that continues to support academic challenge, creativity, and independence.
We look forward to welcoming everyone back soon!
