I attended Litchfield Montessori School from 2007 through 2012, graduating in the initial class from the Middle School at Millstream Farm. Since graduating, I have been doing many intense violin workshops and masterclasses 
as well as attending Loomis Chaffee as a freshman.
My Montessori education taught me the importance of asking good questions, doing what I can to fully understand material, and proper interaction skills with others, all of which I am grateful for every day. As I meet new people and teachers, I realize how well Montessori prepared me for my High School experience and I can’t imagine how it will influence me through my life.

A favorite moment of mine at LMS was going to Model UN as a 6th year. I really enjoyed the community feeling of being surrounded by Montessori students from all over the world, as well as the experience of being in committee sessions, just as the real UN delegates do. Another treasured moment of mine was the Middle School’s graduation ceremony at the end of last year. Although the moment was very bittersweet, it reminded me of all the good time we had had over the course of year and made me realize how lucky I was to be able to be a part of it.
A material that I connected with was the Test Tubes, a material for learning long division. Although I did not first experience them at LMS, I was reintroduced to them in 7th grade by my teacher Melora Mennesson, helping me remember my love for 
long division.
Music has become a big part of my life as I study violin more in depth with my various teachers. At the moment, I am participating in a Schubert Octet with some upper class students at Loomis, and am preparing, with my performance class, to embark on a UK tour this coming summer.
