Young People's Community Classroom Observations
The Young People’s Community is a wonderful place to observe the beginnings of independence. As you watch, notice how the children move through their environment, make choices, communicate, care for themselves and their surroundings, and begin to participate in a community beyond their family.
Parent observations are 15 minutes and take place through a one-way observation window so that the children can continue their day naturally. Because toddlers may become focused on looking for a parent once they know a parent is nearby, please do not tell your child in advance that you will be observing.

Children's House Classroom Observations
We invite you to spend a few quiet minutes observing the Children’s House environment and seeing the children at work. This is an opportunity to notice the independence, concentration, movement, choice, and community that develop within a multi-age Montessori classroom.
Parent observations are 15 minutes. To allow the children to continue their work as naturally and uninterrupted as possible, Children’s House observations take place through our one-way observation window.

Lower Elementary Classroom Observations
Step into the Lower Elementary classroom and observe children in the midst of their work. At this age, children are increasingly drawn to big ideas, collaboration, problem-solving, and understanding how the world works. You may see children working independently, exchanging ideas with classmates, receiving a lesson, or pursuing work that has grown from an earlier presentation.
Parent observations are 15 minutes and take place from an observer chair within the classroom. We invite you to notice not only what the children are learning, but how they organize themselves, work with others, make choices, and take increasing responsibility for their learning.

Upper Elementary Classroom Observations
Upper Elementary observations offer a glimpse into students’ growing independence, collaboration, and responsibility for their own learning. Notice how students make choices, engage with one another, and manage their work throughout the classroom.
Parent observations are 15 minutes and take place from an observer chair within the classroom. We invite you to notice not only what the children are learning, but how they organize themselves, work with others, make choices, and take increasing responsibility for their learning.
