Weekly Update May 2nd - May 9th

May 2nd, 2025

Movement of the hand is essential. Little children revealed that the development of the mind is stimulated by the movement of the hands. The hand is the instrument of the intelligence. The child needs to manipulate objects and to gain experience by touching and handling.

Enjoy a relaxed morning catching up over coffee—whether that means sitting and chatting on the patio or in the barn, taking a walk together on the trails, or lending a hand with a light outdoor task.

Wishbone Day
“Yellow shines with optimism and carries the promise of a positive future.”
  • Please join us and wear something yellow on Tuesday, May 6th to celebrate Wishbone Day, the international day of Osteogenesis Imperfecta awareness. A celebration for elementary children will be hosted by their classmate, Zoe, who, with her unbreakable spirit, overcomes the challenges of OI daily. Wearing yellow is a wonderful way to express optimism for the future while showing support for Zoe & the OI community. For more information about OI, visit the website .

Things to know...

Sun Protection

Please have a conversation with your child about your "sunscreen expectations"

  • Where, when, and how to apply sunscreen.
  • What type of sunscreen will your family use? Sunscreen sticks are a great option at school.

The ultimate sun protection for children is SPF clothing and accessories!
