Weekly Update May 30th - June 6th

May 30th, 2025

[An] interesting fact to be observed in the child of six is his need to associate himself with others, not merely for the sake of company, but in some sort of organized activity. He likes to mix with others in a group wherein each has a different status.
Maria Montessori
To Educate the Human Potential, p. 4

Thank you to everyone who made Field Day such a success!

Moving-On Ceremony
10:30 AM - 12:00 PM

Thomaston Opera House

This special event celebrates our students as they transition to new stages in their educational journeys. We will honor children moving from Extended Day to Lower Elementary, Third Years advancing to Upper Elementary, and our Sixth-Year children completing their time at LMS.

Although it is not a requirement, all are welcome to attend, even if your child is not moving up this year. Extended Day through Elementary children have been preparing musical entertainment for the event, and they are eager to showcase their talents.

Due to the wet spring, we have decided to have the ceremony at the Thomaston Opera House and not take a chance with the weather.  We invite all families to join us for a bring-your-own-picnic lunch back on the LMS Field, weather permitting.  Bring a picnic blanket to relax and enjoy the time together.  Cupcakes provided.

If your child is moving on or up and you would like to invite extended family, there will be plenty of room at the Opera House; please be sure to invite them!
