 Friday Coffee Hour:

Join us after drop-off every Friday morning!
Our faculty guest today will be GloriaVegliante, Spanish Specialist.
 
Next week school is closed for Parent Teacher Conferences.
Our faculty guest the following week will be, Betsy Johnson, Assistant Head of School.

Spring Cleanup after school today!

 

Spring Cleanup Tasks:

  • Scrub fences
  • Remove leaves
  • Planters need soil and flowers
  • Mulch
  • Identify and spray poison ivy with high potency vinegar
  • Chain saw (chop and stack or take some home)
  • Prune hydrangeas and bush near parking
  • Rake stones out of grass onto paths
  • Add more stone to fill in muddy paths in back of building

Spring Clean Up! 

Join us to perform acts of kindness as we clean up our outdoor environments!

April 23th & 24th

Hearing & Vision Screening

Hearing and Vision Screening for Extended Day (aged 5 years by September 2022), 1st-, 3rd-, 4th-, and 5th-year students (excluding 2nd- and 6th-years). Please complete the permission slip to allow the Litchfield Public School Registered Nurse to conduct the testing for your child. 

April 24th & 25th

Give Local

Give Local, a 2-day giving event sponsored by the Connecticut Community Foundation that is very important in helping us meet our annual fund goal. Please keep an eye out for more announcements with details on when you can donate to help us win additional bonuses and prizes. Every donation helps, even $5 or $10! If you would like to volunteer to help with fundraising or sponsor a matching challenge, please reach out to Betsy Johnson.

Book Fair!

The Curious Cat Bookstore joins us once again with a custom curated book fair. 

May 9th

Community Circle 3:30 PM

Grandparents and parents are welcome to attend as we discuss what to expect on Grandparents day.

May 10th

Grandparents Day & 1/2 day EARLY DISMISSAL 11:45 AM
Children's House and Elementary Children look forward to welcoming their grandparents to school. Invitations will be mailed to the grandparents directly. 
Our youngest classroom, the Young People's Community, does not participate in this event, but still has an early dismissal. 
Early Dismissal for all students at 11:45am. 
Faculty Professional Development takes place in the afternoon.

Memorial Day - No School
 

May 30th

School Play - 6:30 PM

Please join us as the Elementary children perform at the Thomaston Opera House.  All are welcome. 

 

May 31st

Field Day @ Boulder Ridge!

Parents interested in volunteering should reach out to PE Specialist, Sam Cochrane via Remind* to participate in the field day committee.

 

June 3rd
