Expressions of Art
Litchfield Montessori Winter Art Show, Expressions of Art, features work from our talented, creative students. The exhibit offers a look into the power of creative expression! Through different artists and art mediums, the children bring forth their marvelous imagination. As a central focus of Montessori elementary education, the independence of the child is encouraged and, because of this, the child has the space to develop his/her unique and personal interpretations of life.
The Big Event!
Our Annual FUNDRAISER
at the Litchfield Inn
Friday, February 28th 2025
Help bring in attendees from outside the school community -
Give to the Annual Fund
Thank you to all who have contributed so far!
The participation of every parent in our annual fund campaign is essential. It shows that, as a community, we value and invest in our children's education. It also encourages outside donors and grant organizations to support us, as they see the strong backing by our own community.
Support Classrooms & Specials
The prepared environment is an essential part of Montessori methodology.
At Litchfield Montessori School, the materials made available to students are beautiful and chosen to meet their needs by our trained guides. As a member of our benevolent community of parents, grandparents and alumni, you have the opportunity to contribute to the acquisition of new materials.
With your generosity, our students will continue to have an environment that supports their creativity and nurtures their development.
Help us meet our playground goal!
We're almost there!!!
We are raising funds to remove our old playground structures and install a beautiful new playground that will not only provide what our students need during the school day, but will also serve as a space for families from our school and the larger community to use after school hours. Many families come to hike around the pond, for playdates, or to use the playground while soccer or other community events take place on the Northfield Park field, basketball court or pavilion. Our new playground will provide play structures that meet the needs of the school and the wider community.
Aligned with Litchfield Montessori’s mission and philosophy, the new playground has been designed to encourage independence, support the child’s sense of wonder, and foster opportunities for free movement as well as social interaction.
With your help, our children will have an outdoor environment that extends the beauty within our school’s walls to the structures on our playground.
