Weekly Update May 16th - 23rd

May 16th, 2025

We must not help the child to walk, and if his hands wants to work, we must give him motives of activity, and leave him to proceed to ever greater conquests of independence.

Moving-On Ceremony Information:

June 6th:

10:30 AM - 12:00 PM

Thomaston Opera House

This special event celebrates our students as they transition to new stages in their educational journeys. We will honor children moving from Extended Day to Lower Elementary, Third Years advancing to Upper Elementary, and our Sixth-Year children completing their time at LMS.

Although it is not a requirement, all are welcome to attend, even if your child is not moving up this year. Extended Day through Elementary children have been preparing musical entertainment for the event, and they are eager to showcase their talents.

Due to the wet spring, we have decided to have the ceremony at the Thomaston Opera House and not take a chance with the weather.  We invite all families to join us for a bring-your-own-picnic lunch back on the LMS Field, weather permitting.  Bring a picnic blanket to relax and enjoy the time together.  Cupcakes provided.

If your child is moving on or up and you would like to invite extended family, there will be plenty of room at the Opera House; please be sure to invite them!
